The Filler That Builds. Introducing Radiesse.

Immediate results. Long-term collagen stimulation. Now offered by our full team of expert injectors.

SkinRx by Burds Family Practice is one of the few med spas in the Tri-State area to offer Radiesse — bringing this advanced biostimulatory treatment to our community right here at home.

There's a category of dermal filler that goes beyond simply filling — and that's exactly where Radiesse lives. If you've been curious about longer-lasting results, more structural lift, or a treatment that actually improves your skin over time rather than just maintaining it, Radiesse may be the next step in your aesthetic journey.

What Makes Radiesse Different?

Most fillers on the market are hyaluronic acid-based, meaning they add volume by drawing water into the tissue. Radiesse works differently — and that's the point.

Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel carrier. This unique composition delivers both immediate volume correction and long-term collagen stimulation, so your results don't just hold — they actually improve in the weeks and months following your appointment.

Think of it as a two-phase investment in your skin: you leave looking refreshed the same day, and then your body continues the work for you.

What Can Radiesse Treat?

Radiesse is remarkably versatile. Our SkinRx injectors will be offering Radiesse for a range of concerns:

Smile Lines & Folds

Effectively softens nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and other deep creases for a naturally refreshed look.

Jawline Definition

Creates a more sculpted, defined profile and lifts early signs of sagging in the lower face.

Cheek Volume

Restores youthful fullness to the mid-face, correcting the hollowed appearance that comes with age-related volume loss.

Hand Rejuvenation

FDA-approved for the back of the hands — minimizing visible veins and tendons for a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Skin Quality

When diluted ("Radiesse biostimulation"), it improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, and enhances overall skin quality throughout treated areas.

Pre-Jowl & Lower Face

Provides structure and lift in areas where skin has begun to descend, without a surgical result.

Real Results — Immediately and Over Time

One of the things patients love most about Radiesse is that it doesn't ask you to be patient for very long. You'll see a visible improvement immediately after your appointment. But what happens after is where Radiesse truly earns its reputation.

Results typically last 12 to 18 months or longer — not simply because the filler is still present, but because your body has built its own new collagen structure. That gradual improvement means you look more natural, not more "filled," as time goes on.

Most patients describe looking "refreshed" rather than "done." Which is exactly the goal.

Meet the Team Behind the Treatment

Brought to SkinRx by Marie Bockenstedt, RN

We don't add new services lightly. When we bring something new to SkinRx, it comes with proper training, clinical expertise, and providers who are genuinely invested in great outcomes. Marie Bockenstedt, RN completed specialized hands-on Radiesse training and spearheaded bringing this advanced biostimulatory filler to our practice. Radiesse is now available across our full team of skilled injectors — so you can trust that whoever you see, you're in experienced hands.

Is Radiesse Right for You?

Radiesse tends to be an excellent fit for patients who:

  • Want longer-lasting results with fewer touch-up appointments

  • Are looking for structural lift and definition, particularly in the lower face or jaw

  • Have noticed volume loss in the hands

  • Are interested in improving overall skin quality — not just adding volume

  • Want results that look natural and evolve beautifully over time

  • Have tried hyaluronic acid fillers and are ready for the next level

Radiesse is not recommended for the lips or under-eye areas. A consultation is always the best way to determine whether it's the right fit for your anatomy and goals — and our team is here to walk you through exactly that.

The Areas You Might Not Know Radiesse Can Treat

Most people associate dermal fillers with the face — but some of the most exciting applications for Radiesse are in areas that are often overlooked, undertreated, and frankly, some of the first places aging becomes visible.

The Neck — Crepiness, Laxity & "Tech Neck" Lines

Your neck often ages ahead of your face, and traditional skincare can only do so much. Horizontal lines (sometimes called "necklace lines" or "tech neck"), crepey texture, and overall skin laxity in the neck are among the most common concerns we hear — and among the hardest to address with topical products alone.

When Radiesse is diluted and applied to the neck using a hyperdilute technique, it becomes a spreadable biostimulatory solution that works to firm, thicken, and smooth the skin from within. Rather than simply filling lines, it triggers your body's collagen and elastin production across the entire treated area — resulting in progressive tightening that continues to build for months after treatment. Clinical studies have shown consistent, meaningful improvement in neck skin laxity and texture, with results lasting up to a year or more.

The Décolleté — Wrinkles, Creasing & Sun Damage

The chest is one of the most sun-exposed areas on the body and one of the first places to show the signs of collagen loss — fine lines, crepey skin, and etched creasing that no amount of moisturizer seems to touch. Radiesse is FDA-approved for smoothing wrinkles in the décolleté, making it one of the few injectable treatments with regulatory backing for this area.

Using the same hyperdilute approach, Radiesse is distributed across the chest to stimulate skin renewal at the structural level. Patients frequently describe the result as a "soft-focus" effect — skin that looks tighter, brighter, and more hydrated without appearing treated.

The Power of Pairing: Radiesse + Neuromodulator for the Neck

For patients dealing with both skin laxity and muscle-related concerns in the neck — such as prominent vertical bands (platysmal bands) or significant downward pull — our providers may recommend combining hyperdilute Radiesse with a neuromodulator like Dysport or Xeomin for a more comprehensive result.

Here's why the combination works so well: neuromodulators relax the platysma muscle, which runs from the collarbone to the jawline. When this muscle is overactive, it can create visible vertical cords and contribute to a downward, sagging pull on the lower face and neck. Relaxing it allows the opposing muscles to lift the tissue naturally — and with less muscular tension, horizontal necklace lines soften too. Radiesse then addresses the skin quality itself, rebuilding collagen and improving firmness in a way that muscle relaxers alone cannot achieve.

A common approach is to treat with the neuromodulator first, allow two weeks for the muscle to relax, then follow with hyperdilute Radiesse — giving each treatment the ideal environment to do its best work. The result is a more lifted, smoother, and naturally refreshed neck without surgery or significant downtime.

This combination approach represents some of the most advanced neck rejuvenation available today — and it's exactly the kind of personalized, layered treatment planning our team excels at.
